The Challenge
Automechanika Dubai is one of the largest automotive aftermarket trade shows in the Middle East, drawing thousands of trade buyers, distributors, and industry professionals from across the GCC, Africa, and Asia. STYM, an automotive parts and solutions brand, was exhibiting for the first time at this scale, competing for floor space and attention against established European and Asian manufacturers with significantly larger budgets and years of exhibition experience.
The challenge was to create a stand that achieved maximum visual impact within a constrained footprint of a 7m x 3m open / raw space and clearly communicated Infinity Alloys & STYM’s product proposition to a technically knowledgeable trade audience. The stand needed to function simultaneously as a brand statement (communicating that Infinity Alloys & STYM is a serious, credible supplier in the Middle East) and as a working commercial environment (with space for product display, product demonstrations, private conversation with potential distributors, and literature distribution).
The timeline was compressed: Stand design, approval, production, transport and installation all needed to be completed within 6 days of brief sign-off, with a hard deadline of the exhibition opening.
The Approach
Kmistree’s production team began with a 3D visualization of the stand in the context of the exhibition hall — showing the client how the stand would appear from approach angles at 10 meters, 5 meters, and within the stand itself. This early-stage visualization served two purposes: it allowed the client to make informed design decisions before any production commitment, and it created an approval document that could be submitted to the Automechanika venue management for compliance review.
The design prioritized vertical height to maximize visibility above the surrounding stands. The brand signages are the primary visual element, displaying the Infinity Alloys & STYM brand on the main fascia. The multiple hero images of the flagship product range are displayed inside with the help of a light box. This backlit system was chosen specifically because it delivers significantly more visual impact per square metre than printed flat graphics, particularly under the mixed LED and daylight conditions typical of Automechanika’s exhibition halls.
Product display was integrated into the stand architecture using a custom shelving system in the brand’s colour palette, with each shelf carrying a product category and clear pricing information in both English and Arabic. A central demonstration area — a raised platform with a 65-inch screen showing product specification videos — created a focus point for technical conversations with distributors.
Production was managed entirely by Kmistree: Graphic artwork, printing, aluminium frame fabrication, painting, shelving production, lighting specification and supply, transport to the venue, and on-site installation by a four-person crew with a same-day remediation plan in case of any component failure.
The Output
- 3D stand visualization (3 camera angles) for client approval and venue submission
- Backlit frame: Double-sided print, aluminium extrusion frame
- Custom product display shelving system: 2 shelves across 2 units, multiple furniture units
- 65-inch display screen mount with AV cabling and content loop
- Literature rack and business card display unit
- Stand lighting: spotlights on track rail system for product illumination
- Full on-site installation and post-event dismantling
The Outcome
Infinity Alloys & STYM’s exhibition presence at Automechanika Dubai 2025 significantly exceeded the client’s expectations for lead generation & brand presence. The backlit graphic system achieved the visibility goal: the client reported that multiple distributor conversations began with a prospect noting that they had seen the stand ‘from across the hall.’
The stand was installed within the allocated installation window without incident. No production elements require on-site remediation. The client reported generating approximately %40 more qualified distributor conversations over the three-day event than they had anticipated based on their previous, smaller exhibition appearances.
